It was a day that will never be forgotten. On September 11th 2001, nearly 3000 people faced the cold grasp of death. The civilians around the towers that were attacked watched in horror as rubble was thrown into the air. They ran terrified to be hit by falling debris, but too afraid to look back. This isn't even a comparable depiction of what happened to the victims and witnesses to the September 11th attacks on America. I will never be able to understand the horror they went through but i will do my best to depict it.
After the attacks people lived in fear of another plane falling from the sky for years. We had apparent threats of planes filled with explosives and towns such as Tappahanock terrified the planes were coming their way. The fear led the American People to do whatever the government told us to. An example is the war in Iraq. We went over without any proof of these weapons of mass destruction. After the attacks everything was done in secret like the records from Bush's army service. They blacked out that Bush wasn't alone in his leave. The government didn't want people to know that the man who was working with Bin Laden also had a leave from the American Armed Forces.
There are people who say that our government would never lie to us, and since Bush was a part of our government he was an honest man. He couldn't do anything wrong, I mean, he was an American leading his own country. People blindly supported any decision he made.
September 11th will always be remembered. Our nation cant forget what happened to the twin towers and the world trade center. The people in those buildings reminded us that we are one nation. The government took advantage of our fear but it has made us stronger. It tore our economy apart but it made us rely on our families. It taught us to work harder and made us have empathy for our country.

  1. William,

Okay blog. Where's your title? Titles are important, please make sure to provide one for your readers. Let them know what they're getting into.

I'm not sure if you answered the question: Did the US overreact to 9/11 and are we safer?

You insert some opinions, but there are not enough facts from the articles and videos to create a strong argument.

Your second paragraph, the opposing viewpoint, is unclear. Maybe that's because you don't have a clear thesis. It should look something like this:

Paragraph 1: intro (you did well)... but then start to answer the guiding questions (are we safer, did the US overreact?)

Paragraph 2: these people disagree with me, they believe that...

    Paragraph 3: I believe this because of facts X, Y, and Z.

See? Let me know if you don't understand. I want to make sure that I'm being clear. I want you to make these adjustments and boost your grades.

    Great video posts.

Also, your writing is good. We just need to beef it up with facts.
